Clam-shell boxes and slip cases With Temple Bookbinders skills our clients can create their own unique, personal, protective and long lasting box. From our extensive range of styles and archivally sound materials, boxes are hand made, to ensure the preservation of any of the following e.g. first edition or signed books, pictures or prints, maps, manuscripts, and paper documents. For these boxes only the finest materials are used, with archival mill board with a density of 2.5-3.0mm, ensuring a very protective durable box. All boxes are fully lined in the client's choice of material. An extensive selection of materials is available; offering quarter, half or full bindings in linen, calf or goat skin leather. Hand tooling and finishing is used, with front board tooling and decorative spine devices as required. Again gold block tooling can be manufactured to reflect the book's design contained within the box; or the box's decorative design can be selected by the client. Facsimilie pictures from the book's front board can be applied to the box's front cover, again reflecting the books appearance. These skills, create personal distinctive designs for your books and boxes. |
